Status M starts training actions to promote a gender-responsive pedagogy

Status M started the pilot actions of the K in Croatia Program with the aim of promoting gender equality and fighting gender stereotypes in pre-school and primary education.

The first pilot session was on April 27th, and was attended by twenty students at the Teacher Training Faculty in the University of Zagreb. Status M trainers Elizabeta Matković and Tamara Tokić, with the help of researcher Monika Pažur, addressed the topics of gender, gender stereotypes and gender norms, as well as the differences in the approach to boys’ and girls’ education through interactive workshops and group discussions.

The students expressed their satisfaction with the session and concluded that these topics should be addressed more often and integrated into education from an early age.”
