Kinder Pilot training course in Madrid (Spain)

The pilot training “Instruments to include a coeducational and interseccional perspective in the classroom” started on the 28th of Abril in the Faculty of Education and similar branches of the Complutense University of Madrid.

This training actions consists of 15 hours of face-to-face sessions and 7,5 hours of home-based work aimed at developing a paper to be presented in the last session. The training programme has been designed taking into account the results of the previous research stage of the Kinder project, in which teachers and parents were interviewed.

The first training module was focused on a theoretical presentation of the intersectionality perspective within the educational field. In the following module, partly theoretical and partly experiential, issues around gender identity, diversity (individual and family), emotions and bonds were explored. The third module was dedicated to sustainably and eco-dependency in education. The following module deals with violence and its transmission in the classroom, and the last module is about revealing the hidden curriculum in order not to reproduce gendered stereotypes and roles with students.

Students will present their final papers soon. We are looking forward to listen to them and also to know their evaluation of the Kinder training!
