The KINDER project in Croatia conducted a series of enriching training courses specifically designed for teachers working in elementary schools and kindergarten. From May to June, Status M organized three comprehensive training sessions based on the “Program K” in three locations: Rijeka, Zagreb, and Tuhelj.

The training courses were curated to cover a range of key subjects, including gender, gender equality, early gender socialization, and inclusion. By addressing these critical topics, the courses aimed to equip educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to foster gender sensitivity and inclusivity within their classrooms and learning environments.

The participants of these transformative training courses included 25 dedicated kindergarten and elementary school teachers. Through interactive workshops and discussions, the teachers were able to dig deep into the complexities of gender in context of early education.

The courses provided a safe and nurturing space for educators to reflect on their own practices and biases, enabling them to develop a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by students in relation to gender. Armed with this newfound knowledge, the teachers are now better equipped to create classrooms that celebrate diversity, promote equality, and empower every student to reach their full potential.

By investing in the professional development of teachers and kindergarten educators, the project aims to create a ripple effect that extends far beyond the training room, positively impacting the lives of students across the country.
